The Difference Between Noise and Value

Hey Reader

There are businesses everyone is talking about, then there are businesses everyone is buying from.

Those are rarely the same thing.

Today, it's easy to mistake visibility for progress. A founder goes viral and we assume the business is thriving. A startup raises funding and we assume it's winning. A brand dominates social media and we assume it has loyal customers.

But business has a way of exposing the difference between noise and value.

Noise attracts attention, value attracts customers.
Noise gets people to click, value gets them to come back.
Noise can make people know your name, value gives them a reason to trust it.

The most successful businesses aren't built on moments. They're built on consistency.

Every great company, from the neighbourhood bakery to the world's biggest tech firms, wins because it solves a problem better than someone else.

That's value

As an entrepreneur, it's worth asking yourself a difficult question:

If people stopped seeing my marketing today, would they still recommend my business tomorrow?

If the answer is no, you don't have a marketing problem, you have a value problem.

The businesses that survive tough economies aren't always the loudest. They're the ones customers refuse to let go of because they make life easier, save time, reduce costs, or deliver an experience that's hard to replace.

That's why entrepreneurs should spend less time chasing attention and more time increasing value.

Build a product people can't ignore.
Deliver a service people talk about without being asked.
Create an experience that earns loyalty instead of demanding it, because attention fades.

Algorithms change, trends come and go, but value compounds.

And in business, the companies that create the most value are usually the ones that create the most wealth.

2. With Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Harry Kane still in the hunt, the Golden Boot race has gone down to the wire. Only one question remains: who will take the Golden Boot home?

Hey Reader Everyone has that one bar they have a soft spot for. It might not be the most beautiful place around. Sometimes, it is the price that keeps you coming back. Sometimes, it is the food, the atmosphere, or simply the fact that you can sit there without feeling like you have to be someone else. For me, it was the music. The owner was a big fan of my favorite musician, which happened to work perfectly for me because I was too. His songs played so often that I eventually started...
